Winstone Park Tennis Club dialed up the good weather for its Opening Day on Sunday afternoon which attracted a large number of current members and a high number of players who seemed to be very keen to sign up. There was plenty of tennis for the adults during the afternoon before the juniors took to the courts with the coaching team to try out Tennis Hot Shots and hit some tennis balls on the full size courts. The large turnout bodes well for the coming season and no doubt there will be plenty more tennis and social opportunities throughout the course of the season. Pictured below enjoying post match refreshments are long time member Colin Steven (father of Brett and still hitting a good tennis ball!), Mark Lewis (Tennis Auckland), David Gordon (Club President) and Michael Wood (Puketapapa Community Board). Congratulations Winstone Park for kicking off the new season in such fine style.
