Mission Bay Tennis Club has a CHALLENGE. They need to lay new surface on courts 4-6. The subsoil on courts 4-6 is not good. Undulations can be easily seen. The land is a Council asset. Orakei Local Board has mostly decided on the budget of the next year. The cost of fixing the issue could be north of $100,000. Orakei Local Board budget can be changed BUT it requires 1,000+ signatures to have a chance of being approved.

Answer 1:
I would like to see the local board support Mission Bay Tennis Club by funding repairs to the soil under their courts to allow the club to lay new courts.
Answer 2:
Provide funding to Mission Bay Tennis Club to repair the Council owned land under the courts which has subsided in some areas over the last 20 years.
Answer 3:
Financial support should be provided to Mission Bay Tennis Club to allow them to repair to the earth under their courts that is owned by the Council so that new courts can be installed by the club.
Answer 4:
Please grant funding to Mission Bay Tennis Club to fix the earth foundation under courts 4-6 that is leased from the Council so that new court surfaces can be purchased and installed by the club.
Answer 5:
Funding should be awarded to Mission Bay Tennis Club so that the subsoil beneath courts 4 – 6, which is a Council asset, can be repaired or replaced so that the club can purchase and install new court surfaces and fencing.
WHO CAN HELP THE CLUB?
Submissions are one per person. Your partner, children, relatives and friends could each submit them. As we are applying to the Orakei Local Board, the only constraint is that each person should live in or be connected to in some way to the Orakei area, which comprises of these suburbs – Ōrākei, Mission Bay, Kohimarama, St Heliers, Glendowie, St Johns, Stonefields, Meadowbank, Remuera and parts of Ellerslie.
