A day after Guy Fawkes we can expect to see more fireworks in the upcoming double header weekend of Scarbro Caro Bowl action. For the first time ever matches will be played on a Sunday afternoon as well as the usual matches on Friday night. This gives tennis supporters a convenient opportunity to come along and watch some top tennis from a number of New Zealand’s leading senior and junior players. Friday night will see the third round of matches played and the highlight promises to be the encounter between last year’s men’s finalists Blockhouse Bay and Parnell. Blockhouse Bay won the title for the first time last year but Parnell will be looking to prove themselves on Friday night at Parnell. On the women’s side the contest between defending champs Sunnyhills and Royal Oak looks to be the pick of the bunch.
