Senior Coach Position

To assist Head Coach – Rick Healey

Kohimarama Tennis Club has eight well-lit synthetic grass courts recently resurfaced. It also has a modern clubhouse with full-time manager and proshop. There are approximately 250 seniors, and 200 juniors. KTC has had great interclub success in senior, midweek, junior, and men and women’s Carobowl.

Qualifications

·         Current New Zealand work visa, residency, or citizenship

·         TNZ registration

·         Minimum 3 years experience coaching

Personal Qualities

·         Prompt, reliable, dependable, enthusiastic, outgoing, fun personality

·         Knowledgeable in all strokes, grips and footwork

·         Willing to work closely with head coach

·         Ability to teach 4 years olds to advanced players

·         Has knowledge of games and drills to provide a fun environment to develop good technique

·         Ability to re-string racquets

·         Able to play interclub at first grade level, up to Carobowl

Club coaching requirements

·         Private and squad coaching for juniors and seniors

·         Run cardio fitness classes to music

·         Beginner to advanced development squads

·         Saturday morning coaching

·         Develop interclub and other representative teams

·         Help run holiday programs

Position starts in October 2016.
